Getting Out the Vote

I’ve been meaning to draw your attention to the mini survey located at the right on Lull, just beneath the “Welcome” text. It won’t take much time or brainpower on your part to choose an answer to the question. However, the vote tally could affect how much time and brainpower I continue to spend on posts for Lull.

So let me know—by voting—how meaningful the links (to bio info, to Web sites of people and organizations mentioned, to articles and research cited) are to you. I appreciate it.

Count Down (Up?) to 500: Lull Hits Another Milestone

ull started two years ago with a whisper into the void—and has spluttered and splurched forward until this week, when I’ll be writing the 500th post.

Five hundred is not a hugely impressive number—it’s not infinite like pi and doesn’t come close to our national debt. But it’s substantial enough that I believe something special should occur alongside the 500th entry of Lull.

Maybe we should all eat pie. Mmmmm…

[Here are my top 10 favorite pies: pecan, lemon, coconut cream, chocolate, strawberry-rhubarb, rhubarb cream, blueberry, peach, pumpkin, custard.]

Blogger Downed By…

I finally put a little something on Lull last night, but I wasn’t able to post anything for nearly two days because…well, I don’t know.

Google’s Blogger division started doing some maintenance work on Wednesday, but something went horribly wrong and the whole system went down. You could see the blogs of Blogger, but we bloggers didn’t have access to the infrastructures of our blogs and so couldn’t publish anything new or even prepare content for later publishing.

Let’s hope we’re glitch-free for a while.
