Flash Mob: Words Await Organizer

“One day the Nouns were clustered in the street.
An Adjective walked by, with her dark beauty.
The Nouns were struck, moved, changed.
The next day a Verb drove up, and created the Sentence.”

—from “Permanently,” by Kenneth Koch

This is not a quote from a Palm Springs Koch, I hope.
I would be very surprised is it was. But, alas, he and his bro, may be among the few who could afford it.

  3. Fab l'il quotes. I still like "dogs have owners, cats have staff."

  4. Dear Eric,
I like that quote, too. In my household, the pooch fancied herself a feline, so I was staff for the entire menagerie.

  5. Dear MeerKat,
The connection hadn't even occurred to me! Clearly, I prefer the poet to a Palm Springs Koch.
